Read it many years ago, but loved it! Always recommend it to others and it will always be in my top 100 faves. Don't bother with the movie though.
I read this many years ago (30 years?) as a kid and was probably a bit too young to appreciate the finer details. Having said that, to this day, I still remember it as being extraordinarily dark and disturbing. A great horror novel.
I found this book to be very useful during my PhD research.
I loved this book, but I found myself getting more and more disinterested as the archaeological layers became more modern. No doubt though that Michener is a frigging genius!
One of my favorites from my childhood and I look forward to reading it to my little girls when they get a bit bigger
Have to agree with heidilove, I love Irving but did not enjoy this book.
