I mean I know my rating is the unpopular one but after watching the movies, I felt like the book lost its charm for me. Not because the story was weak, but because I already knew the plot.
It's one of those good, happy reads you need when you're hitting pretty low on the moods.
What a masterful story. I'm still thrilled and waiting for the next one. How does this even end?!
Umm look I know it's a classic but reading a "love story" about a bat-shit crazy anti-hero who digs up grave of love interest to put her rotting corpse next to his own was only mildly amusing until I was a child and unable to understand the book-from-hell. Now, I'd need therapy. And that definitely costs more. Just sayin.
I liked this one way more than Highlander of my heart
So intense ! I savoured each line, each moment. What a roller coaster.
P.S. this book has some really dark and sad themes. Please avoid if you're easily triggered orrrr you know pmsing and stuffing your face with cookies as you cry...

Is it the weekend yet? This is one of those curl up with a hot chocolate on a chilly night kind of a book. Heart warming inside out. Remember when Monica does humina humina in friends ? That's me describing my our hero in less than two words. Enjoy!
Funny, emotional, refreshing ... Loved it! This one is definitely the best from the Dragon series. The previous 2 seemed like a story line built around deliberate cheezy hot romance scenes with a vague story to cover it up.
Sooo, this book was supposed to be sweet and yes it did get a tad slow at some places. But oh my God did the ending disappoint. I mean this story is supposed to be sweet and romantic and all but boy was it painfully unfair to Theo. The entire unfolding of 5 years of misery to unexplained misery and... what should I call it? Possession by a demon, albeit a kind one, but to lose yourself and your personality completely after two coma-inducing accidents .... Not fair bro, not fair.
I couldn't decide which one I liked better - twisted pride with its alpha male, dominant, ass-hole guy coming down to his knees or twisted emotions for Nino, our basic emotionless guy who sits on a Mount Everest of being a true gentleman out and out. These two books are such a vivid contrast to each other and both of them, are equally spectacular.
DNF
Too dark! I really struggled. Might as well add trigger warning to those who are easily disturbed by some scenes and themes in this book. I mean it's excellent character development and story building, I just couldn't stomach it. Apolgies.

What a drag! Half way through and going to put this aside. After 200 pages this story is simply going around in circles. Duh
This one is to be read over the weekend. Not on a work day unless you want to come to work with blood-shot eyes.
Rosie and Dean's story broke my heart at atleast ten places and over twenty times. I loved every word in this book.
Edit: Will I ever recover from this story?

3.5 to 4ish .... I mean does the next generation even come to their fathers' personalities? No.
A) It doesn't do justice to the first 3 sinners of saints books.
B) Bane isn't the hero here. Jesse is.

This is one of those "sweet stories" you want to read over the weekend. I was totally hooked to the writing style , especially the initial chapters.
3.5 ish. I mean it could've been better. Maddy's character actually made me cringe at some places. The hero, uhh, what a terrible gaslighting jackass.
Not the best of her works. I could've spent my weekend reading something better tbh. The story is meh.
I know this book fits into that alpha-male vibe, but the star of this story is sparrow. Brilliant character!
Oh my God! Oh my God! I need a moment before I update this review.
Witcher is a newly discovered author for me. Needless to say, I'm adding her to my favourites. Devils and Dust has such powerful characters, the emotions came alive from the books. This isn't one of those black and white romances. The hero isn't perfect. The damsel is too damaged. The stars of the book are its powerful females. The funny ones, the sad ones, the fierce ones, the ones who refuse to be subdued, the ones in red dress ready to sacrifice without an iota of hesitation. And of course the men whose friendship stands the test of time. The plot is twisted and dark. But boy are you in for a ride. Five stars.
