Disappointing collection. I found the writing style hard to persevere with and the stories would just be getting interesting and they would be wrapped up. There is a lot of first-person narrative that rings false (children thinking at adult maturity, convenient and sudden insights that explain story mechanics, etc.) as well. Author shows promise with good ideas...just needs to hone their writing skills some more.
