the outsiders is based in the 1950's with this family of brothers they dont have a mom or dad theres 3 of them ponyboy darrel and sodapop and there bigest rival are the socs. the socs badly injure and threaten to kill Ponyboy but some of his gang happen upon the scene and run the Socs off.the guys meetsome of the socs ex girlfreids and they start dating pony boy and darel so the socs came and tries to beat up and kill ponyboy so they go to dally so he can help him run away and he gives him 50$ and directions to a hideout out of town and they wait until he comes and picks him up then they help a school group from a fire and become heros but then dally get shot by police officers at a grocerys etc. i like this book because the story can be seen much clearly of 1 of each generations of americans. i kind of like this book and i recomend this to almost evryone

This book is about a young boy named Henry fighting during the Civil War.Henry is scared about the battlle and questions his own courage.but later on after his first battle he summons up his courage and takes charge in battle and also gets shot in the head in some part of the story.Jim henrys best freind dies in the first battle. i like this book because it shows to face your fears and gain more courage.I recomend this book to everyone 8 and up.

this book is about a boy who is 15 years old and iligealy signs up to join the military and faces challanges in the civil war. With grusome pictures and terror he manages to survive all of it until the end of the book when he finaly commites scuicide.I like this book because of the violence.

This book is about how the textbooks your teachers give you are unaccurate and the truths behind the lies its bassicaly a book about history. i really didnt like the book it was confusing i dont recomend it.

A fortuneteller's tent appears by market of the city of Baltese, An orphan Peter Augustus Duchene asks Does his sister still live? and how can he find her? The fortuneteller's mysterious answer was (i thought it was knda funny when i read this)(an elephant! An elephant will lead him there!) This book sets off a chain of events so remarkable, so impossible, that you will hardly dare to believe it’s true. My #1 favorite book.

Rob Horton is 12 years old and lives with his father in a Florida motel called the Kentucky Star. The father and son have recently moved to Lister, Florida,after his mom died. He meets a girl named Sistine Bailey, whose parents broke up after her father had an affair.This book is very suspensfull and detaild and is one of my favorite books.

Oliver twist is a great book about a orphan that is taken by an undertaker then runs away to the city of england then is taken in by a man named fagin who steals peoples stuff then resales them so oliver stole somthing and got caught and Mr.Brownlow takes him in and then MR. and Mrs.bumble come and give Mr.Brownlow a locket that olivers mother left him and so Mr.Brownlow opens it and soon discovers that oliver is his son. I very much reccomend this book to everyone.

I think the book was good but not as good as the first one. Because they were in a city and it had x-ray and armpit (not my favorite charcter) and it was to me not as good as the first book. But then it included a teen pop star named(Kaira DeLeon)thats when i started not to like the book. And i didnt expect that armpitt and xray knew each other before camp green lake. But the ending of the book was rally the only part i liked was that thy got to go to the concert because they had fake ticketts and the singer found out about it but she didnt even care that they had fake ticketts thats why i dont really like the book that much.I think that the author did not put alot of effort into Small Steps. I dont recomend this book.

This was a great book. It was about the Luther family that lives in these mountians in North Carolina. But then there father Roy Luther dies , and they have to keep it a secret from everyone because if because Marry call (Roy Luthers daughter)makes a promise to not tell anyone and to not get doctors because he belives they chop people because they killed his mother.Then they have to go to wildcrafting and gathering to earn money to live. But when the winter comes, all the plants die and they run out of money. Then later on, their land owner (Kieser Pease) decides to take back their house. Then a few days later he gets hit by a car and is placed in a hospital for care and treatment. At the end of the book, he maries Devola (Mary Calls sister) and gives them money and a car and a cow,and hams.

Holes by louis sachar is about stanley yelnats whos fammily is cursed with bad luck all because of his no good dirty rotten pig stealin great great grandfather. Stanley was walkin in the street and found some shoes.the cops came and he was acussed for stealing shoes. So he went to court and was sentenced to 5 months at camp green lake digging holes. So stanley has to make it through camp green lake. I like Louis Sachar's book Holes because its a great book with a tale of two curses wich is very drawn out story behind Standley's curse which is a great stoy and thats why I love this book.

Animal farm takes place on a farm in England. Animal farm begins when the oldest pig on the farm thats name is Old Major he calls all animals to a secret meeting. He tells them about how mean and cruel mr.jones is and that they should start a revulution aginst him and take over the farm . Three days later old Major dies but the speech gives the more intelligent animals a new way of life. The pigs the smartest on the farm lead the other animals. when preparing two pigs announce there names are Napoleon and Snowball. Napoleon is big and is not a good talker. Snowball is a better speakerthan Nopolean he has a lot of ideas and is smart . Another pig called Squealer who is a Great speaker they make a law or communism type of rules called Animalism. The rebelion starts few months later when Mr Jones comes home unsober one night and forgets to feed the animals.They get out of the barns and runtowards the house, where the food is stored. then When Mr Jones saw this he takes out his gun but he was way to late all the animals attack him away from the farm . The animals destroy everything that reminded them of Mr.jones and anything that he used to hurt him . On that day all the animals celebrate their victory with extra foods.The pigs then make the seven commandment and write them in the barn on the wall in tar . But then the 7 comandments were broken. 1. Whatever goes upon 2 legs is an enemy.
Broken commandment - The pigs start dealing with humans and end up walking on 2 legs.

2. show more Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
Broken commandment- The pigs end up thinking any animal who walks on four legs or has wings in inferior.
3. No animal shall wear clothes.
broken commandment - The pigs all end up wearing clothes.

4. No animal shall sleep in a bed.
Broken commandment - Squealer changes this to 'No animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets' because they decided to sleep on the humans beds.

5. No animal shall drink alcohol.
Broken commandment- Squealer changes this to 'No animal shall drink alcohol to excess' and end up getting drunk often.
6. No animal shall kill any other animal.
Broken comandment - Squealer changes this to 'No animal shall kill any other animal without cause'. Napoleon sentences anyone who was thought to be plotting against him though he has no evidence to death. Boxer is sent off to be killed and turned into glue when he breaks a leg.

7. All animals are equal.
Broken comandment - Squealer changes this to 'All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others'. It is very obvious that the pigs come out on top and order everyone around. But as the days go by the pigs start to transform into humans and the animals on the farm continue to suffer. I think people should read this book because I tend to like it because it appeals to me because it realates to Russian comunism heres an example nopolean is almost like Joseph stalin during World War Two and boxer the horse is the hard working mzn the man who devotes the most time towards russian communism the person who is the truest believer. I like the idea of the history in the book and that's why I like the book. show less

Time for andrew is about a boy named Andrew Joseph Tyler he goes by Drew. He is staying with his great aunt Blyth and his great uncle an old man in a wheelchair in a very old house for the summer while his parents were on an archeologist trip in France. Drew doesnt have a good time but he also sees his very first ghost Drew is sleeping one night when he hears footsteps coming down the attic stairs. The door opens and a young boy that looks just like Drew steps into his room. His name is Andrew and is dying of diphtheria. He convinces Drew into switching places with him so the modern day medicine can cure him. Once Andrew is all better, he doesn't want to go back to his time but Drew on the other had is devastated. Every night at 12:00 they have a marble competition in the attic. They keep playing one game per night until Drew wins. Then they can go back to their families the bad thing is the more they spend with each other's family, the more attracted they become to them and the less they become to their own. I like this book because the history of andrew and the past of drews family in the book is vey good and the fact of how andrew is a ghost who came to drew was very good and thats why I like this book.
