"The Mormon Candidate" is an interesting novel. I like reading classic novels & mysteries like Agatha Christie or Ngaio Marsh so the writing style & plot was something new for me but still an engaging read. As far as mysteries go, it kept me somewhat guessing at what will happen next. The main character, in my opinion, can be one of those relate-able characters for a certain group of people. All in all, a fun read.
I am not very much into political thrillers but this was an interesting read. There were times when I kept thinking of Elie Wiesel's "Dawn"; on some level it was somewhat similar but this book held its own. At times I was distracted but ending was unexpected for me and makes it really worth a read.
