Featherfall was my first dip into urban fantasy, I’m usually a horror and crime fan. There was so much I enjoyed about this book. The author has brought the characters to life, making them incredibly human, even when they are far from human. They are relatable, authentic and witty and it was impossible not to care about their fate. The setting added a layer of realism and charm, mixing places I’ve visited with the darker sides of the universe. The action is well paced and the story builds to an epic scene. In all, a well thought out, brilliantly written novel which I thoroughly enjoyed.
