This is a wonderful edition to the Harmony Hill series. Carlyn has been alone for two years since her husband went to fight in the civil war. Everyone tells her he is dead since the war ended months before. She is to lose her home because she cannot pay the mortgage to a cruel owner who wants her for bad reasons. Because of this she meets the kind sheriff, Mitchell. She goes to the Shakers for help to keep eating and there she discovers a secret or two and the sheriff helps her in many ways. I loved the characters and the twists and turns in the story. I received this book from Revell for a fair and honest opinion.
I enjoyed this story. It was interesting to read about Jack and his old friend Angela. She robs a boat and it goes bad so she needs help disappearing. They had not seen each other in years since they had to disappear after another job that went wrong. There are a lot of things that happen before they can disappear. I received this ebook from Firsttoread for a fair and honest opinion.
This was a wonderful biblical story. It is about Theophilus who was similar to today's lawyers. He was a great orator. He lived in Rome and then was sent to be with Pilate as his secretary. He tries to keep Pilate from prosecuting Christ to death but it didn't work. Later he is sent back to Rome where he ends up trying to help people live through many Caesars reigns. He meets Paul and saves his life and becomes a Christian. This may not be a true story but it is so well done that you don't remember that it isn't true. I received this book from the bookfun.org for a fair and honest opinion.
This was so fantastic. There was so much suspense and of course a tad of romance. Sarah and Paul are perfect for each other. It would be hard to go from a single person to needing to care for your sisters daughter. I really look forward to the next book in this series and any other book that Nancy Mehl writes. I received this book from Bethany House for a fair and honest opinion.
