Honestly not worth your time. It’s like, ‘What if we rewrote Fall of the House of Usher, change very little, but it’s all caused by mushrooms? With tacky anglophilia for fun!’ Grudgingly obvious foreshadowing and leading lines made it a bore.

Too hard. A battering story to read, so much trauma and violence. I have a strong stomach, but I say pick this book up with caution. Beautifully written though.
