Liked very much, although the last part is a little grisly.
Very fun! And Rachel is pretty gutsy for her time. She is an admirable heroine. The doctor's theory that explains the mystery is wacky. I had to suspend my disbelief to read the last part, but that's my only complaint.
Read this several years ago and loved it. I still remember some of the alien characters fondly.
Shows classism and chauvinism. Jane's idea of being "good" is somewhat stifling. The writing is sometimes verbose. Nevertheless, it is a gripping novel, amazingly feminist and intensely thought provoking. Worth rereading as an adult.
This was quite enjoyable. There could, perhaps, have been more about how they felt when they learned about the atrocities that had been committed under Hitler.
