This had me hooked in the beginning. I wanted to find out how this woman who was left by her husband rallied and made a new life. However with weird storyline of sleeping with her new stepbrother when her mom remarried(The FMC is 30 or older) doesn’t really feel like it fits into the story. Trying to create a love triangle when we didn’t need it. I could have used more development of the friendship into a relationship with the “right guy”. Or even an epilogue. Over all not a bad read, just wish there was a bit more sticking to the plot and no weird romance arc.
This book definitely had me hooked in the beginning but the “tragedy” is one of the worst things to happen to a woman. (TW: 🍇) It is part of the plot but def could have been written without it.

I do love how resilient and unapologetic the FMC is. She literally is the best thing about the book.

There is side romance with other characters. Not a bad book but definitely not a lighthearted read.
I got this book from Book of the Month. It sounded good but it was just weird. I get the MMC is a teenager into sheep but that’s literally his only personality trait. There is death in this book both animal and human. The human death is an abortion which is self induced by taking sheep’s abortion medicine which the MMC got by visiting the vet because the family arm got into the ewes pens out of breeding season. And instead of doctoring the sheep, he gives it to his girlfriend. Also this girl is awful too. She moved with her dad to a place she hates. I get that but she makes it her only personality trait to leave.

This book had potential but fell flat with weird, self absorbed characters that just fall flat.

The ending also leaves you with more questions than actually closing the story.
A depressing story with a main character that seems to get a complete personality shift in the middle of the book. No happy ending here. A weird twist is the basis for a love story that gets ruined. The male main character is just as weird as the FMC. Theres also no real closure in this book.
This was an easy read. But I didn’t love the slow burn that immediately led to a relationship with a “betrayal” and then that is easily dismissed and they end up married.
Cute story but needs a little more depth.
2.5 stars. A fake dating story turned real. No real character development, choppy and rushed ending and the weird AO3 fan fic, therapy notes, and drama blog posts and video descriptions of the drama channel videos should have been deleted during editing. These are a distraction rather than an enhancement to the story.

I had high hopes and this book fell short. Wish there was more character development and actual relationship building and less feeding into supposed Hollywood culture.
Terrible. The FMC is the worst person ever and time jumps are abrupt and not well written. This feels like it was written mean spirited and jealous woman who secretly wants to be a tradwife. Traditional isn’t bad and this book just pushes the narrative that it is.
This is a good authentic story of how life can be hard. Find the good in the bad. However, I felt this was kinda marketed towards strategies to recenter and get back to a good life. But it was actually just pieces of their life. Which is great. But not exactly what I expected.
Very cute book with an element of danger. It’s very scripture heavy and these characters are very Godly. Certain points definitely resonated and convicted me. Definitely recommend.
I received this book from NetGalley. But it was a great read. Had me entertained and got me thinking about how dealings with fae could be like in real life. Recommend if you are into fae fantasy.
