Summary: This book is about a young boy who got into trouble because they thought he stole a pair of shoes, so he gets sent to this camp in Texas and everyday they are sent out to dig holes in the desert and the young boy named Stanley shortly realizes that this camp has alot more secrets than a lot of people realize. Shortly after he realizes more secrets about his family, and that his family is involved in this camp.
Personal Reaction: This book was an amazing book, I remember when I was in high school every one was reading this book and I never got around to it. Now I know what I missed. AWESOME!

So he escapes from the family and starts his own journey through life. Buddy has a lot of problems when he is on the streets, he runs into a lot of conflicts. But he has one thing in mind, which is to find his father. In the end, he ends up finding his father. This story is based off of what happens in the Great Depression.
Personal Reaction: I absolutely love this book, I read it when I was younger and I loved reading it again!

Summary: This book goes through all the stories of the coral reefs, it starts on how the coral reefs are formed and produce and live. It discusses the way it lives, and the creatures that live in the reefs. It's a very informative book.
Personal Reaction: I thought this book was informative, and the pictures were very beautiful, will definitely catch a kids eye.

Where he gets gum in his hair, drops his sweater in the sink, trips on his skateboard, and this is just a start to his day, so he knows he is going to have a horrible day. As the day goes on, it just gets worse and worse and he continues to have bad luck. He went to the dentist and found out he had a cavity, he had such a bad day he wishes he could move to Australia. Finally, after the day is over, his mother assures him that everyone has bad days, and they even have bad days in Australia.
Personal Reaction: This book was really cute, and I liked the story behind the book.

Summary: This book is about a mother and a daughter and grandmother who are preparing to save up so her mother can buy a new chair that she deserves because she works hard, and can come home and relax. Every night, they put their money in a jar so they can save as much as possible. When their entire house catches on fire, and they lose everything they own. Then everyone around them pitch in and help the family with whatever they need. Everything except the chair, but at the end they end up saving up their money again, and they end up getting a sofa for them all to rest on, not just the mother.
Personal Reaction: I absolutely loved this book, it was so good and showed how people can pitch in and make a bad situation alot better.

Summary: It's a rainy day at home, and the kids are bored and want something to do. So the cat saves the children's day and it makes them have more fun while their mom is gone. But they realize it's almost time for their mom to be home, and they have made a mess of the house! So they have to clean their house before their momma gets home. When mom gets home, they act like nothing happened at all.
Personal Reaction: This is an all time favorite for many children, it was one of my favorites when I was a child, and I enjoyed reading it again.

Summary: Miss Spider wants to have a tea party, but none of the insects she invited wants to stay for tea. Because the insects fear that she wants to eat them, instead of have tea with them. A wet moth landed on her spider web, and he could hardly fly because he got wet, she took care of him, and they talked and ate tea and pie together. After the moth ate with her, and got better she let him off her web, and he took off just fine. Then he went and told the other insects that Miss Spider was really nice and really only wanted to have tea with them. So then, all the other insects went to her and decided to have tea once they realized she only liked flowers and tea.
Personal Reaction: I loved this book, and the illustrations are so cute!

Summary: Piggie Pie was about a witch who woke up from her nap and was very hungry! She looked through her recipe book and nothing sounds goods. So she decides she wants to make Piggie Pie. She realizes she doesn't have any pigs, so she flies to Old McDonald's and she can't find any pigs, the pigs hide from the witch so that she could not have them. She then runs into the big bad wolf, and the wolf tells her that she should give up looking for pigs, because he's been looking forever and can never find them! So then the witch invites the wolf over for lunch with intentions of eating him for lunch!
Personal Reaction: This book was so cute, and wonderful for Halloween.

Summary: This book is a tale from a long time ago, that twists the story a bit. A youngr red-headed girl was locked in her apartment with her Aunt Esme for tons of years, until one day she met this man named Roger. Repunzel and Roger become friends, and Aunt Esme gets mad and cuts Repunzel's hair off so they couldn't talk anymore. But to Aunt Esme's prevail, they met again and were happy as ever.
Personal Reaction: This book was very cute, I liked the regular story better. But this one was still cute.

She eats all three of their bowls of porridge, and decided she likes little bears the best, then goes to sit in the three chairs, only likes little bears, and then, she goes and sleeps in little bears bed, and the bears find her in there, and she gets scared and runs home to her momma, and she decides she better learn to listen to her momma more often.
Personal Reaction: I have loved this story since I was little, and I loved getting to re-read it again, and bringing back my childhood memories.
