Not entirely finished yet, but this is definitely another worthy addition to Houellebecq's idiosyncratic catalogue.

As usual, a grim view on a Western Civilization past and present and even grimmer view on its' future.

Strange book about very strange human behaviours... It doesn't fit into any reasonable genre sub-division, although it's probably mostly classifies as thriller. Russian edition had a comparison to "Crime & Punishment" on the cover, and it seems fitting in a somewhat twisted manner... Still can't figure the idea of the title "Out" though... Ideas anyone?
This is a book about 31 quite different songs the author happens to like (and some albums - to make a book a bit thicker). And, despite its seemingly random nature, the reviews work quite well together and even provide some pretty emotional moments. Not a must, but a nice one...
