Género: Ciencia Ficción
Narrador omnisciente/ heterodiegético
un narrador heterodegético es es parte de la acción. Por eso no es un carácter de lo cuento. Sabe todo lo que pasa y puede contar los emociones y sentimientos de personas.
Tres personajes: Piri, Juan Luis, Marta

• el derecho a leer un show more libro otra vez
• el derecho a ver el libro como la vida
• el derecho a leer en todos los sitios
• el derecho a enfracarse en la literatura
• El derecho a leer en voz alta
• El derecho a callarnos

Andrew Clements did a great job telling a story about a boy named Greg Kenton who seems to be a little bit greedy and always tries to create new ways to make money. Like many kids do, he starts to sell different kind of products to other children, to make a fortune at his school. The problem is that there is another girl who steals his ideas, or the boy at least thinks that she does so. Therefore, the boy is scared that she would ruin his way of making business. After a certain amount of time the two children work together.

A great and authentic book about friendship.
The main protagonist, Joe is writing by the means of an alphabiography, an assignment for English class, the struggle of being true to himself as a homosexual teenager/child. The book shows with which problems people who are homosexual have to dealt with in our society. It explains that many parents cannot accept that their children are homosexual, but there are some, like Joe's who support him however they can. In my opinion, this book is for teenagers and adults and can be used at Middle School/ High School to work on the topic.
This novel shows by the means of a first person narrator how difficult it is for a girl suffering from Autism to live a life. The story is about Caitlin, whose mum died because of cancer and her brother died in a shooting. Now Caitlin and her father are the only family members and try hard to find a way to live happily. This is not only difficult for a girl suffering from Aspergers Syndrome, but it is even more difficult for the father who is really sad and depressed and it is hard to have a family member dealing in a different way with the passing away of her brother.

A very sad story, but which reflect authentically how life can be with Aspergers.
A very good book about the future. Our society is changing a lot, probably soon people can be changed completely physically, because of our scientific progress. This book shows how the future could harm our society in the future by the means of different short stories.

One, for example, tells the story about a Spanish couple who buy the body of two good-looking Africans, because they want to look younger and they are not happy with their look anymore. These Africans accept, because their family needs the money, and they are just allowed to live while their body-owners are sleeping.

A wonderful, but also terrible book about how the future might be if there is still the separation between the classes. I would use the book definitely for 11th/12th grade.
A wonderful book,, which has its setting from the beginning of the Civil Was in Spain up to present times. It reflects in a wonderfully way what was happening during the Civil War, especially which impact it had on friendships and families. Many people were friends before the war, but then were forced to support either the republicans or the fascists, they had to fight against each other.

I can imagine reading that book at 12th grade (Spanish as a Foreign Language) with my students. Probably in an interdisciplinary way with English, if working on the impact on war in a country, in general. The book does not only reflect the Spanish history, moreover, it reflects the impact of a war within a state. Like the Civil War, the war between the South and the North in the United States.
The book is not only about different types of frogs and what harms them now, but it is also about a boy who made his dreams come true. I think this book shows children if they are ambitious and follow their ways, their dreams can come true. Furthermore, it explains what is happening in the forests, in the swamps and other places where frogs are living. I have learned a lot while reading that book.
In my opinion, this is a wonderful book which describes the upper-class society of the 1920s in New York and Long Island. I am sure that this is one of the best books ever written in the American History, but to my mind, it is too difficult for High School. There are so many different symbols and themes hidden in the text, and it should be read earlier. I think, if you urge students to read it, probably they would not like it, as they can't understand very good. If you use the novel at school, a teacher has to prepare many pre-, while, and past-reading activities.
The book is about the friendship of an African- American boy and a white girl during a time where this was not appropriate at all. The book tells one year of the main characters' lives and explains through events, experience, anecdotes, references and other important details how difficult it was for African-Americans, and as whites to stand up for them.

In my opinion, the first half of the book is a little bit boring and it takes some time until the reader really gets fascinated by the book, but then it starts to be interesting. I can imagine using that book to talk about segregation in order to encourage students how people at the same age felt during that time.

A wonderful, but sad book about segregation and friendships between African- Americans and whites.
The story about the terrible time people had to go through, especially in Oklahoma during the dust bowls and the great depression. The book explains the difficulties these so-called Okie's had to encounter in order when moving to California in search for work and a better life. It gives us an insight which type of education was important for the children and how this was done at Weedpatch school.

In my opinion this book, does not give us a deep insight to the life of all the people moving from the dust bowl to California, moreover, it shows how education can work. I really think that this book could encourage teachers and/or the government resonsible for educational affairs to improve the curriculum with some practical lessons and especially with giving every single student the feeling that they are as good as anybody else, which many teachers often forget about.
It is a Korean folktale about a couple living far far away from the city and which is already a little bit bored. Therefore, they bought a story which seemed to be a little bit strange, but at the end it helped them a lot and they really liked it.

i think the story is very interesting, especially we are nowadays overwhelmed with hundreds of books, stories, technology. How was life without any technology? The book might be used as introduction to the topic about life without any technology.
A nice book about counting numbers, vegetables you can find in the garden and how to prepare a salad out of the ingredients. The book can be very useful to teach children how to count. Moreover, many children do not know what can grow in a garden and what to make out of different kinds of vegetables. Therefore, the book is great to explain different kinds of fruits and vegetables. At the end of the book, the author included some interesting facts about the fruits and vegetables mentioned in the store, which is definitely interesting for children.
The book shows how a little girl cares for her mum. In fact, the other way around how are we used to be. By the means of the book children may question what their mommy's job is and that it is not an easy task to be mum. Furthermore, the book can be used to show that also parents have to work hard, maybe they are workaholics and sometimes it needs the child to tell them what to do.
The story of Hansel and Gretel is a very famous one, all over the globe. But though, I have never seen the story transformed to an African tale with African-American protagonists. A wonderfully, but old story set in a new context and with colorful, precise and charming illustrations. The only thing I missed a little bit, was the adaption of the tale to its setting. For example, the food or pebbles or whatever. It would have been great to have more multicultural influences in the book.
A wonderful book about Jane, a little girl who would love to work with and help animals in the jungle. At the beginning of the book, the reader thinks that this is a random book about a little girl, but it is not. It is kind of a biography about Jane Goodall who let her dreams come true and work with animals in the jungle of Tanzania. I think the book is not only about Jane, moreover, it is a encouragement for children and adults to follow their dreams, and maybe they will come true.

The illustrations of the book are marked by a wonderful, colorful freshness. The paintings are nicely made.

All in all, a wonderful book.
The book is about a boy who does not know to how to behave in school. But isn't it difficult to know from the beginning on how to behave in a classroom? To my mind, the illustrations of the book are nice, but the content is put into a negative light. I think there should be more situations in which David learns how to behave correctly at school. In my opinion, children shouldn't be expected to have a perfect behavior, they are children and they should not hear all the time:"No that's wrong."
The book is about a boy and many children in general, who know how difficult it is to make everything right. Especially during Christmas time, there are so many rules to follow. But still Santa Claus and David's parents love him, no matter what. The illustrations of the book are very nice, easy to follow and the text is not necessarily needed to understand the content.
The story reflects about different habits within an family living in an rural are. Especially nice are all the illustrations, made my black ink and watercolors. Normally, we are used to a family consisting of parents and one or two children. But this book is a little bit different. Probably the girl is living with her grandparents and her mother and father never appear in story. It might me interesting if students realize the fact that there are no parents involved in the story.
A very nice books which tells the story of toys living in Toytown. I think it is important for children that they do not only read realistic books, but also unrealistic ones to improve their ability of imagination. Furthermore, it shows how nice they treat each other in the book. Everyone tries to help and motivate the others. Maybe, we don't know - there is also life at night when we are all sleeping.
A very scientific book, therefore probably more appropriate for High School. Nevertheless, the book is very informative and explains what is happening when a Tornado occurs. As tornadoes often appear in the States it is important that people not only know how they emerge, moreover, people should know what to do and where to go in case of a threatening tornado. Moreover, it shows the different scales of emergency and explains what could happen to human beings, houses etc. if a tornado appears.
The book offers lots of information to the reader. It explains facts about glaviers which are true and reasonable. It goes far back in history and tells about the formation of glaciers and how they have changed with the time. It refers very often to the Titanic, which makes it even more interesting, as this is a very well-known fact.
Wonderfully illustrated book which explains in a few sentences how beautiful and diverse our world is. The book is great to introduce the topic of caring for and protecting our environment. Moreover, children have the possibility to describe the pictures and compare it to their own surroundings. I am sure differences will appear.
A very good book to introduce children to the topic of volcanoes and earthquakes. The book explains in a very easy, but still informative way how it comes to the explosion of volcanoes and earthquakes. Furthermore, the book offers information about huge earthquakes and volcano outbreaks in history. A perfect book to use in geography class.
I really like the book about the hurricane in a country we don't know, but with beaches and coconuts definitely. It explains how people have to prepare for the hurricane and never give up to restore their houses afterwards. They seem as if it were normal for them to be just glad that they have survived and continue their life, while rebuilding their house.
It is a very nice book, not only about traveling in time, but also about our ancestors and the birds ancestors. On the one hand it explains a lot about dinosaurs and other animals and on the other hand it might inspires people for a such a school project in class. I think the book would be appropriate as introduction.
A nice book which offers information about a hurricane to the reader. The illustrations are colorful and made in a careful way. The text is always given in frames and put on different parts of the book.
The book tells the story about two boys during an hurricane and afterwards. A tree got destroyed because of the hurricane and they enjoy playing there. It shows the effects a hurricane could have, but very, very superficially. And it puts the hurricane in a more positive light, although for many people it definitely has not been like that.
The book just consists of pictures that tell the story about a boy and later other children who examine the sea by the means of a camera. The boy examines the items washed up from the wonderful sea on the beach. Immediately a wave brings along a camera, the boy starts to take pictures and finds out a lot about the sea. The book is great to start of with an introduction to the topic "underwater world" in the school subject Biology.
