FUNNY! the author read the audio version with such dry wit - god, it was funny!
my first Stephen King novel. better than I expected and it did keep me up past my bedtime. I'll read The Gunslinger at some point, but typically I'm not a fan of these multi-novel series. maybe this will continue to be a good story. I liked the over lap of timespace and a bit of magic, but, that gunslingers yielding big guns are the answer, well, that doesn't thrill me, so I am curious if guns are the answer through the series. and what kind of answer is awarded. This is a book I'd give a half star (3.5) to.
well, like life, parts of the book made total sense, were beautifully conveyed, parts were totally bizarre, there was some violent weirdness, and parts were rather dismal. overall, I really liked the book and enjoyed it more than maybe anything I've read in the last year.
