without reading the first book I was at loss about good and bad guys,girls but I caught on fairly quickly!! A fairly good read and I want to get #3.

This is a great book for the new cook. It tells what is needed for pots, pans, & utensils. What basic spices, pastas, beans, etc and the step by step recipes are easy to follow. I have been cooking for 45 years and I wish I had this book way back in the stone age.
Some days you want a book that is a challenge, makes you think, or teaches you something. Other times you just want to be entertained .The "Cat Who" books are a good quick entertaining read and this one is no exception.
This was a rare find in a used book store. it is well put together and the recipes are easy to follow. It has a wonderful recipe for Blueberry soup.
When I was younger I read all the horse, dog, and pony books I could get my hands on. Now it takes allot more to capture my interest. I scummed to all the hype about the movie and saw it. I knew I had to read the book. The book is so much richer than the movie. It is so well written and factual it makes no difference if you know what one end of a horse is or what a race is all about. You will learn in a most delightful way.
This is a very special book for the survivors of the circus fire but even more so for the families of the victims as it provides us with some idea of what happened that day.
