Allegiant was so amazing I can’t even explain it. There were so many plot twists and surprises, good and bad. However, it might have been one of the worst books I have ever read. It destroyed me and tore me apart. The happiness was drained from me for several days, yet it made me excited and happy.
Tris, Tobias(a.k.a Four) and their friends cannot stay inside the fence any longer. The pain and curiosity of not knowing what happens outside the fence is unbearable. Then, a group called Allegiant is formed and Tris and Tobias are part of it. The group makes plans to travel outside the fence without permission from their leader, Evelyn(Four’s mother), and explore what is beyond the fence. Allegiant, however, has absolutely no clue what is going to be outside the fence but they are ready to face whatever comes at them. Leaving the old factions and Chicago was difficult, but they made it. What they found out was not at all what they were expecting. Life outside the fence is different and complicated.
Obviously I can’t say more because the rest is all spoilers. Veronica Roth did an absolutely, fantastic job at destroying all of her fans and readers hopes, dreams, and happiness. She managed to do it with flare though. The plot was amazing and the characters were, as always in this series, powerful and emotional. Allegiant is a must read and I recommend this book for everyone.
There are more than thirteen words why Thirteen Reasons Why was so mesmerizing. It was stellar, eerie, beautiful. brilliant, breathtaking, and heartbreaking. This is the type of book that no matter what genre you read, you won't be able to put it down.

Thirteen Reasons Why written by Jay Asher is absolutely fantastic in so many ways. It’s about a girl who committed suicide. Her name was Hannah Baker. Hannah made cassette tapes with her story recorded on it before she died. On the cassette tapes were thoughts, emotions and 13 separate stories explaining the events leading up to her death. The tapes went to anyone who was part of her reasons. Clay Jensen was one of them. He was, in some way, responsible for her death.

When Clay gets the tapes, he doesn’t know what to do at first. He listens to the tapes all night. Going to wherever on the map Hannah’s voice told him to go. Also along the way he finds out who else is responsible for her death and why. Clay gets very emotional because now Hannah is gone. And he can’t help her. After listening to the tapes and finding out his part in her life, he will never be the same.

Thirteen Reasons Why was absolutely amazing. It was suspenseful and can really change a persons perspective on the values of life. My reason for my opinion is you you can feel not only Hannah’s emotions but Clay's too. I feel that the characters physical appearance and personality was displayed and described exquisitely. It allowed you to instantly hate show more or fall in love the characters. Jay Asher did a wonderful job with the wording the the details of this book as well. show less
The Hunger Games is an amazing book by Suzanne Collins. The love triangle between Katniss, Peeta and Gale is very intriguing. The troubles in District 12 and Panem are very difficult. But to make it even worse or better depending on the district, the 74th Annual Hunger Games have arrived. Now 24 tributes from the ages 12-18 must fight to stay alive in order to be the last remaining victor.

Katniss Everdeen has had a very challenging life. At the age of 11, Katniss’ father is blown to bits of human flesh in a coal mining accident during work. With Katniss’ mother depressed, she has to take care of herself, her mother, and her little sister Prim. She now hunts for food in the meadow past the chain link fence. That is where she meets her soon to be best friend, Gale. Gale falls in love with Katniss instantaneously, but she doesn’t know. Together they keep their families alive. But could that change at the reaping? Primrose Everdeen, now 12 years old, is picked from a bowl by Effie Trinket, to compete in the 74th Hunger Games. Katniss then shouts “I volunteer as tribute!” and take Prim’s place. The boy from District 12 picked is Peeta Mellark, who is also head over heals for Katniss. When they are on the train to the Capitol, they meet their mentor for the games, Haymitch Abernathy who is usually drunk. Haymitch isn’t of much help to Katniss or Peeta because he is too drunk to give good advice on how to stay alive. However, they make a deal. If Katniss and Peeta show more really try to prepare for the games, then Haymitch will stay sober during the mentorship. Once they arrive at the Capitol, they are prepared and trained for the games in the arena. The 24 tributes are also interviewed on television with Ceasar Flickerman. That is where Peeta announces, to all of Panem, his love for Katniss Everdeen. Sadly, for Peeta, all the tributes are thrown into the arena and forced to fight and kill each other the very next day. Until one Victor remains.

Suzanne Collins did a fantastic job with The Hunger Games. I could feel all the emotions through the characters because they were so powerful. The characters were very visible in my mind because they were described extremely well. I loved this book because I enjoy love triangles, battles to the death, and well written plots, which is exactly what this book has.

The Secret Life of Bees was absolutely amazing! It gives you information on beekeeping,Lily and her journey to find out he late mother’s past, and a brief description on how racism was in the 1600’s. This book was fantastic and a must read!
Lily Owen’s mother is gone. Her father pays no attention to her and her “stand-in mother” is their family’s housekeeper. When Lily secretly goes through some of her mother’s old things she finds a Black Mary picture. On the back of it it has some writing. The writing says “Tibourne, South Carolina. Fed-up with her father abusing her, she sets off with Rosaleen(her stand-it mother) off to Tibourne to find out where her mother used to go. But not, before breaking Rosaleen out of jail for spitting on the three most racists men in Sylvan, SC. Once on the open road hoping not to get caught for running away, they hitch a ride all the way to Tibourne. Once they get there, they immediately find out where the picture was from. The picture of black mary, “Our Lady of Chains” was plastered on every jar of honey in town. Inside of the pink house, August, June and May Boatright were beekeepers. Lily could feel her mother’s spirit. During the weeks Lily and Rosaleen stayed in the pink house they learned all about each other. Finally, Lily came clean and told August why she and Rosaleen and had come to their house and how she found them. It wasn’t easy, but Lily got her answers about her mother.

I found The Secret Life of Bees show more absolutely amazing. The characters were displayed and described to perfection. You could feel their every emotion. To understand the book, you have to read it slowly. Even if you miss one paragraph, it could change the entire book for you. I think that the way Sue Monk Kidd wrote about the racism was very visual.

Secret Life of Bees was overall fantastic! There was happiness, sadness, excitement, and fear. It was descriptive when necessary and was vague when necessary. In conclusion Sue Monk Kidd did a stellar job with this book.

Jerry Spinelli’s Crash was a good book. It was definitely not one of my favorite books because the reading level was lower than mine. If you are into books that have something to do with football and choosing who your friends are then this will be a great read for you.

John “Crash” Coogan is known for being the best at everything. Everything changed for him when Penn Webbs moved into his neighborhood in the 1st grade but not the way you think it might change. When Crash met Webbs he immediately thought he was a very peculiar child. When he found out they were in the same grade Crash was not happy. For he didn’t like Penn Webbs. Crash bullied him but not a lot...at least not until the 6th grade. Mike Deluca bullied Penn, but a lot worse than John. Mike, one day, took it too far. John started second guessing his friendship with Mike and his relationship with Penn. Is Mike taking it too far? Crash has to make a decision. Is he going to be friends with Mike, his partner in bullying and football? Or is he going to befriend Penn his neighbor and the boy who he hated for so long?

Crash by Jerry Spinelli was a good book. I don’t typically read books by Jerry Spinelli because his books don’t really appeal to me. However, overall this book was good. It had a good plot base, the character’s feelings were expressed well.
The Fault In Our Stars was an absolutely extraordinary book. The emotions are so powerful. Within the first two pages you are so drawn into it that there is no going back. You will, without a doubt, cry in this book.

Hazel Grace Lancaster suffers from cancer. Hazel is 16 years old and lives with her mom and dad. When Hazel Grace goes to support group in the literal heart of Jesus she meets a boy. His name is Augustus Waters and he is 17 years old. Augustus had a leg amputated because he had cancer all in his leg. Luckily, he is cancer free now. When the two of them meet there is a spark between them. It was almost as if it was “love at first sight”. Only they didn’t know it yet. Hazel Grace has a special love for a book called An Imperial Affliction and soon has Augustus in love with it as well. The book means a lot to Hazel and Augustus because the main character is a cancer patient and they know exactly what, Anna, the main character goes through. What happens from then on I will not tell you. Read the book to find out what happens next.

The Fault In Our Stars, a novel by John Green was superb. The plot was absolutely incredible and the characters are described to perfection. I really enjoyed how John Green set up the book and how the details were put perfectly into the book at the perfect times. The “feels” (emotions) was so incredible that I don’t even have words for it. The words people use to explain the book, do the book no justice because the book is show more out of this world. You can feel the characters happiness, anger, sadness, and much more. show less
