Great way to present statistics in a fun manner. This book goes into detail but makes sure you'll enjoy reading the details beforehand.
Very nuts and volts into the science part of science fiction, but a great read nonetheless. The dialogue is very good when we get conversations and overall has a very realistic feel to it.
Very reminiscent of "The Phantom Tollbooth" which I would consider to be a great compliment. While it is appropriate for children, the reading level doesn't stoop to elementary language.
Great book, I love the way he writes and talks. Very interesting, with a few useful points here and there, but mostly, I was along for the ride.
The never-ceasing peril is just too much. There's never a point to breathe. Even breakfast and showers are too dangerous to go alone and that gets old quickly.
Really liked it. Unpredictable even if you think you know there's a twist coming.
I loved all of the first two sections, with some exceptions for some really out there theories. The last bit on nutrition lost my interest a bit. Not that it wasn't useful, but very dry.
The subject matter is very interesting but the first seven or so chapters are too repetitive. Really this book should have been much shorter.
I really liked the concepts it proposes, but there's only so many examples I need to hear about.
I love this book. It's still so applicable to the modern era. It delivers a premise and just executes on it. Kafka's diametric opposition between character's reactions and emotions is excellent writing.
Incredibly interesting. There isn't any book I've read that's put a happy ending on the Holocaust. But this book has purpose and Viktor Frankel delivers it so accessibly.
