A unique story set in WW2 era. Has a little bit of everything. I really enjoyed this one. Ending seemed a bit rushed, but a good read.

Decent personal narrative. About a mega church pastor who ended up running drugs for the cartel. Parts are pretty dark and interesting. The cover is very eye catching.

A twisted tale told in 3 seasons highlighting how people are manipulated and silenced inside the world of a popular production. I enjoyed the overall premise of the story and the writing style. The pacing seemed a little off for me and it was hard to stay engaged in the story.

This was really well-written and easy to read. The pacing was on point, and I loved the character development. This was my first book by Julie L. Brown and will not be my last. I absolutely recommend this, especially if you enjoy stong female characters.

This was a very disturbing and interesting read. It was well-written and kept my interest until the end.

This is a quick read that combines elements of science fiction and literary horror. It tells the story of a man's mental illness and blurs the lines between hallucinations and reality.

Proven Innocence is a debut novel by Mary J. Rocco. This was an entertaining and well-written, suspenseful thriller. A woman wakes up in the trunk of a car with no memory of how she got there. She soon discovers she is wanted for murder. She makes an unlikely friend with a woman at a diner and the two embark on an adventure to try to uncover the truth of what really happened and prove her innocence.

I received a copy of The Shadow of Victory by Thacher Cleveland in exchange for an honest review.
To my understanding, this book is a part of a series, but I have not read any of the others, and this reads fine as a stand-alone. I was able to easily follow the storyline with no issues. This is well-written and has a little bit of everything in it. Fantasy, horror, paranormal, and more. It was an enjoyable read. I gave this one a 3.5 rounded up to 4.
A captivating and eerie book that was impossible to put aside. Imagine the terror of fearing your own child? Excellently crafted horror fiction.
Jon Cohn is an amazingly gifted writer, and The Island Mother is just one more book that proves that. This is beautifully written. It grabbed my attention immediately and held on until I finished. My only complaint is that I lost sleep because I couldn't wait to finish. The Island Mother starts as a gripping thriller and lands with a perfectly executed horror ending.
Couldn't put it down. The author did a great job of putting a unique and spooky twist on an awesome possession story.
Heartbreaking, infuriating, and emotional.
An intense, young adult, mystery-thriller about a young girl with a dark secret. She follows the rules to stay safe and alive until one day her diary is stolen, and the thief puts her loyalty to her family to the test. This book grabbed my attention and didn't let go. The suspense kept me needing to know what was going to happen next.
I rate this one at 3.5 out of 5. It is well written, and I really enjoyed parts of it. Really enjoyed the setting and the story line overall was enjoyable. I did fine the majority of the characters to be unrelatable and the ending played a big part in my rating. I have no doubt that this book will have a huge fan base though.
Left to You by Daniel J. Volpe
This book is well written with a highly addictive and emotional storyline.
Imagine the author slowly ripping your heart out through the first half of the book, setting it back into your chest cavity for a bit, then yanking it back out and smashing it with a rusty meat cleaver.
Spicy, Suspenseful, and twisted. The Switch is well written and will pull you in and hang on to you until the very end.
TNTD in a Dark Fairy Tale makes for a super fun read. Flew through this one. The book is great as a whole, but Leech just makes the ride even more fun!
This plays out as an interactive prequel to Slashtag. A lot of fun with a lot of twists and turns along the way. So many fun and creative ways to die over and over again.
The Streets of Floria by J.B. Arnold is beautifully written. I listened to this one on audio and the writer's beautiful words and world building paired amazingly well with the narrator. I could picture the setting as if I were there. This dark fantasy horror was suspenseful and entertaining. Kept me wanting more until the very end. And, I have to mention how beautiful this cover is!
The Boy in the Woods by A.J. Wills is well written thriller. I went from being really annoyed with Sabin to really feeling for her. I did see some of the twist coming, but not all of it and even feeling pretty confident that I knew where it was headed, I was completely sucked in and couldn't put it down. One of the best thrillers I have read in a while.
A well written, descriptive, enjoyable read with a rural setting. The author did a great job with character building and the setting was so well described you can picture it while you are reading.
My only complaint was that I wanted more! Great book!
This was my first read by Toni Morrison. I was drawn to it because it is on the endangered book list in my state. I LOVED this book. This woman can write. One of the saddest, most eye opening, and moving books I have ever read. I look forward to diving into more works by her.
Definitely a 5 star book. I would rate higher if I could! This was my first read by this author but this book was beyond amazing. Twists and turns with an ending just as it should be for this story. I can't wait to check out her other works. A must read.
While this was not my favorite read by Morrison I did enjoy it. Toni Morrison is a beautiful writer. Worth the read.
When I got the chance to grab a copy of this I thought "sure I will give it a shot". I went in blind and all I can say is WOW. It was a quick read because I couldn't put it down. So glad I gave this one a chance. I don't want to throw in any spoilers but definitely worth a read.
No Time for Goodbye was a very well written and interesting read. The entire time I was reading I was trying to solve the puzzle, but there were so many twists and turns I would have never figured it out. Highly recommend.
While I appreciated the unique story line and the way the author intertwined 2 different and fascinating ideas to make one story this one just wasn't my favorite. It was interesting but nothing really jumped out at me along the way that really kept me wanting more.
Excellent sequel to Hollowed Oblivion. You get the same excitement accompanied with more of the depth of the characters personalities. You also get to find out more about what is in the woods ;)
This was a nice quick read. The story is great and kept me interested throughout the entire thing. Finished reading in one sitting. This would be the perfect book for anyone who likes an exciting story with a little touch of horror without the gore.
