Made me want to be better about upcycling instead of buying new (and living in the woods.)
This is the only book I have (by choice) read repeatedly, just to understand it better. 20 years later I still conjure up images and ideas from this book here and there as i travel through life.
The first book of poetry that I had read since encountering Carl Sandburg in my teens that actually spoke to MY soul. (As evidenced by my turning from the last page directly back to the first page to start over again.) I understood what he was saying, what he was seeing. His words changed my vision as a photographer.
This book was unexpectedly meaningful to me, and I refer back to it in my mind often. It informs my decision making on a daily basis, (though not as much as I'd like it to...)
I've read more Photoshop books and tutorials than I care to admit over the past ten years. Many were informative. The approach Versace takes in this book touched me and inspired me and improved me as an ARTIST. No other resource has ever done that.
