Pictures of Hollis Woods was a good book that gives a girl a chance to live a good life. After battling foster home after foster home Hollis Woods is finally happy when she gets placed in a home with an old lady named Josie. Josie and Hollis find a connection through art,But being happy there brings back the memories of another family.

Patrica Reilly Giff does a great job with the characters they really came to life. Hollis is a girl with a strong personality that impacts the book till the end. This book may possibly give you a taste of what foster homes might be like and what the perspective is on a girl who has been flip flopped through them her whole life. Even though this book was great i gave it four stars because some pieces in the book fell a little flat. Some points in the book it almost made me lose interest.
A Fairy Tale is one of the most creative books i have ever read. Cyn Balog makes the characters that spring to life.Morgan,is a girl who is living the high school dream, Dating the quarterback of the high school football team, and having friends that will do anything for her. until something comes in the way and slowly tears things apart.

Not only was the beginning and middle of the book good, but the ending tied it all together. Balog could not have ended the story any better. It leaves you with a thought that inspires you and also makes you want to cry. You know a book is good when it effects your emotions. It is a great example of the phrase if you love something you have to let it go.

Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver has a tremendous beginning but as you read further it gets dull and slow. In the beginning we get to know the main character Sammy as she explains her life and struggles as an average American teenager. We meet her friends and learn about her complicated relationship with her boyfriend, and how one night at a party changes her life.

Who would have thought reliving the same day in your life over and over could be so complicated, but that is the problem with this book, it makes it boring to read. It feels like you lost you place in the book and you have to start by rereading the whole page again. kinda like a broken record.

Overall this book gets two stars because the only part that i was interested in was the beginning. i dropped this book because i was bored reading the same thing. i think this book would have been better if you didn't feelfrozen in time and it had more life to it.
A Child Called It is an emotional non-fiction book written by Dave Pelzer. The A Child Called It series is a New York times best seller that has captured the hearts of its readers.

Dave is know as one of the best Communicators and human - service professionals in America. As well as ( in my mind) one of the most heartbreaking most touching authors.A Child Called It is a book you just can't put down.

As Dave grows we see how his mother turns into a raging alcoholic, and out of her kids she picked Dave to abuse . We also see how Dave's father and siblings watch powerless like bystanders at a playground.
Throughout the book the things that Dave went through are extremely vivid. How he explained the things she did left me in tears . I hope to read the rest of the series, and see what happens. Will it be a like a Cinderella story? or will Dave continue to fight for his life?
