The Traiteur’s Ring immediately pulls the reader in with a mission of Navy SEALS in the jungles of Africa. Ben Morvant, member of the SEALS, begins his own journey that weaves his SEALS training and that of traiteur, faith healer.

The book combines the genres of action, romance, and the occult together nicely. The camaraderie and action of the SEALS team keeps the reader involved in the book; as does the aspect of voodoo and the occult; however, the romance of Christy and Ben is a little sugary. All in all the book is a good weekend read.
