One of my primary interests is both reading and collecting books about upland hunting in North America. This is my favorite book about pheasant hunting and quite possibly my favorite book about upland hunting. The book is a series of essays that speak to pheasant hunting, dog training, and prairie landscapes, specifically in South Dakota. It is a pity that this book and the author is not more widely known.
