A great all around reference on color and design for the web. This book was far more relevant when designing for the web had to do with more hand coding and planning. Still good if you want to really know what is going on with color on the web and other media. Probably a good primer for mobile application design as that is low bandwidth in the way that the web used to be.
I saw About a Boy as a movie first, then read the book later. The book is quirky and funny in that dry British way. It was a great funny read with a great kind of inner dialog with the main character. Definately worth a read as are most of Hornby's books.
