I first read this book in Grade 9 (1968) as required reading for English class. It is THE book that introduced me to high quality SF writing and peaked my interest in reading for the first time. I've been an Asimov fan since then and remain one today.

The "Laws of Robotics" proposed by Asimov permiate every SF book, story, play and screenplay written since he first wrote them down in his lecture notes. They have also, and more importantly, been adopted in the real world of robotics engineering and sciences.
Not only is this a 'must read' for every woman who ever wondered "what was he thinking?" but it is also hilarious. I laughed out loud, recognizing many of the situations, when reading Barbara's accounting of the male psyche.

I think most men who read this book will have several laughs of recognition too. This is not a man bashing book by any means but more a book to help women understand why men are so differnt from women.

Vive la difference!
This is the worst of the 7 books. Poorly written (where was King's head at?) and reminded me of all the Stephen King books that I don't like (and they are numerous).

Possibly, what I liked least was that he inserted himself into a huge portion of the book in a characteristic whim of self-promotional self-indulgence.

I am about to start book VII of The Dark Tower. I'm hoping he extricates himself from the story so I'm not subjected to anymore of his megalomania.
A must read for every woman who repeatedly chooses the wrong man. My copy has been read by 5 friends who needed it and found it quite enlightening.
Over the years that I've had this set I've listened to it several times. It never grows old and is so well done I get sucked right into the story everytime.

This BBC Radio production of Lord of the Rings is still one of my favourite renditions of the story (aside from the books). The acting and characterizations are, by far, the best available.

I highly recommend this production for your next long road trip or as an excellent alternative to airplane movies.
