This is a story about a boy who wants to throw a party serving tacos to dragons. The boy makes wonderful tacos and is very careful not to put anything spicy on the tacos or else the dragons will breathe fire. This is a cute book that children under third grade would enjoy.

This is a wonderful historical fiction chapter book about Douglas who was apart of the Donner party. The horrors of what happened are mentioned but are not explained in such details that are inappropriate for younger audiences. This book would be better for fifth grade to around sixth graders.
I really enjoyed this book because it tackles issues that sometimes can be overlooked in children's literature. It is about a young boy who has some racist things to say towards his peers and he is the school bully. His principle is determined to make him feel more welcome and he accomplishes this. I think this would be a good book for grades third through fourth because of the material and language it uses.
This story is about a little girl who receives a hat as a gift but she doesn't like it because it is too plain. Birds end up putting flowers and such on it and then she ends up liking it. This book is good to discuss differences and feeling good in your own skin. This would be a good book for first or second grade.
This is such a cute book. It is the lyrics to "I hope you dance" and it is a little girl listening to her mother. This has some poetry elements in it which make it good for children who are learning the beginning portions of poetry. This could be for children from kindergarten to about second grade.

It is about a mouse who continues to want different things based on what he has already done and he ends up wanting a cookie again.

This book is extremely cute and I think anyone of any age would love it. It is about an emu who wants the people who come to the zoo to like him. He ends up going into other cages until someone says that Emus are the greatest at the zoo and then he feels better about himself. This book would be good for kids in kindergarten to third grade.
