Most any book targeted at the university market has to be full of information, and this one is no different. Any library need a reference like this to tie in a wealth of other information offered in other texts.
I really enjoy this book. There aren't that many publications on this subject outside of scholarly works.

This deserves a high rating just because there are not that many books on this subject out there. Having said that, it is a surprisingly informative book and well worth getting.

For an early book on this subject, this is a suprisingly good book, remembering it was written 25+ years ago.

Gee I like this book and Kurt Saxon has done us all a favor by putting it into print. There is a mountain of information here and it should be in any serious self sufficiency library.

This book along with Les Hiddins book are a must have for info on bush tucker.
I gave this 5 stars because the info is accurate and there is very little literature available on Australian survival food. I've met Les Hiddins and he is a genuine stand up guy.
This could easily be the only reference you need on home butchery. Easy to read and full of illustrations. This is one of my favorite books on this subject.
There is a broad spectrum of information in this publication and while much of the information is basic, it is still a must have book especially for beginners to self sufficiency.
Nifty stuff if you are ready to go to prison if you are caught. In a complete zombie meltdown this sort of book will prove invaluable!!
I would say that this book is a must have if you are interested in blade-smithing/knife-making.
