Started this book, but never got very far. It just didn't grab my attention.
The Sibley guides are my current favorite for North American birds; I've been using this guide in the field.
Used this in conjunction with teaching yoga at my son's Montessori school.
Pretty sure I read this book a while ago. I enjoy this series, in general.
MoveOn's 50 Ways to Love Your Country: How to Find Your Political Voice and Become a Catalyst for Change by MoveOn.org
Read through this quickly, didn't find it particularly inspiring.
Not really my type of story. Very christian-focused, about a young woman who is in a relationship with a guy who treats her badly, and how she eventually pulls herself out of this situation. Recommended to me by my grandmother, otherwise I'm sure I woudln't have ever picked it up in the first place. Written in a rather cloying, outdated style.
Started this book, and couldn't get further than a few pages before the writing put me off so much that I set the book aside. Might give it another try someday. Then again, maybe not.
Meh. An enjoyable enough read, but not earth-shattering in any way, and I had to look up a synopsis to remind myself of what happened in the story. Combines dinosaurs and paleontology with alien stuff.
I can juggle three balls, but so far being able to juggle four has eluded me. This book didn't get me on the right track for that. :D
This is my favorite book on learning how to read Tarot. There aren't a whole lot of changes between this edition and the first. It's a great system, with exercises and excellent card interpretations.
The Family Nutrition Book : Everything You Need to Know About Feeding Your Children, from Birth Though Adolescence by William Sears
A fairly thorough book about family nutrition. I think my favorite tip is to keep a tray full of healthy snacks (cut carrots, etc), on a low shelf in the fridge, so even young children can forage successfully for themselves.
Don't remember whether or not I read this. If I did, it didn't make much of an impression.
A very strange book. I enjoyed reading it well enough, but at the end, I felt a bit confused as to just where things were left at the end.
I like the approach taken by the authors of this book - very much focused on positive thinking and trust in the universe.
Didn't really connect with the personality typing system presented in this book.
Started this book, but couldn't really get into it.
Not my favorite Jane Austen. Fairly typical Austen story, about a young girl trying to find a good marriage who finds herself at a mysterious gothic estate.
Started this book several times, and tried to work through the exercises, but could never make it all the way through. Just not the right fit for me, I guess.
Read this book years ago; my copy was signed by the author. A powerful, compelling story - this book (and the miniseries based upon it) were a big part of my early education into the history of slavery in the U.S.
Started this book a couple of times, but just couldn't get into it. Self help, about looking at your "shadow" side.
I sent this book to a friend who lives in the D.C. area.

Lab manual for Vertebrate Evolutionary Morphology university course. I used this book a lot, in particular as reference while doing dissections (dogfish shark and domestic cat). Very helpful, great photos and illustrations.
