Bought this book recently as I plan my own trip around the world (looking to break a guinness world record). It not a bad book for a 1st time traveller. It offers lots of basic information inregards to planning a trip. However a freqent traveler may find the book lacks something for them.
It wasn't the best books written about first aid I've dealt with, but it still does get the job done. However, I don't find it worth the price the Red Cross and other first aid training courses charge you for the book. $30 is way to much for a 186 page + pull out book.
Diet and exercise, we were all told that is how you lose weight healthily. The Game on Diet bases itself along those lines, but making a game out of it. A friend challenged me to the game. While neither one of us lasted more than 2 weeks when we attempted the game, with in the first week of trying the game the first time, I lost a good 7 lbs. Getting me out of a plateau that I have been at for the last year.
The game didn’t work for us, because the eating 5 times a day and drinking 3 litres of water rule didn’t fit in our lifestyle. We were at the beckon of someone else schedule. Although if you are someone who has controlled over when you take breaks at work, can eat when you want and don’t mind spending lots of time in the bathroom, this diet truly works. You just need to fit everything into your life better then we could.
The book itself is well written, and funny and very easy to follow along.
I had borrowed this textbook for my Introduction to College Chemistry class when the assigned text book did a horrible job at teach the material. This book was significantly better, well writen and easy to understand especially to those students who don't quite get chemistry as subject.
Max Bollinger, a native Russian speaker has composed an excellent guide to learning basic Russian for your next trip. Everything from greetings to dating a Russian beauty. Like other language software it works by repeating the words then using them. However unlike other language programs that slow down the words so you can hear each syllable, Easy Russian for English Speakers keeps everything “live”. As an audio book you are able to transfer the tracks to a media player and learn on the go. My only problem with the audio book is the order of the book and the lack of a companion booklet with the phrases and the alphabet.
All the Pretty Horses was one of my favourite and most loved book from childhood. It is a sweet book with its words written like a song and the pictures are just a pretty as the words. I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a good bed time story for there daughters.
