Probably my favorite of all of the Chiaverini quilt books, the tie between Underground Railroad activities and quilting was fascinating. I have enjoyed this series, since I am a quilter, but this plot line was one I found I could not put down.
As a person with CFS/ME, this book has been a tremendous help in my recent adjustment to a loss of employment, loss of health, and accepting the limitations I face. I cannot recommend this book highly enough for those facing adjustment to disability or a chronic illness, especially as they go through the "why" phase. Toni has written it in simple, clear text and the references to Buddhism are not intimidating (at least not to me).
