High tech sci-fi fans will be pleased to find this novel by someone who has an accomplished way with words and knows their way around far out theories of space/time travel. I usually stick to less hard core sci-fi, but was glad I tried this one, despite the techno-talk that took careful reading. I got hooked by the feisty female astronaut, and had to find out her fate.
A Lonely Death: An Inspector Ian Rutledge Mystery (Inspector Ian Rutledge Mysteries) by Charles Todd
I devoured this latest Charles Todd, which raced along strewing victims, suspects and plot points in masterly fashion, making it one of the best in the series. Add some great scenes with love interest Meridith and old friend Melinda, an almost fateful scene set back in France, and the Toddsters wonderful atmospheric settings and true to life historical details - what a feast!
A serial killer is something different for Rutledge to investigate, but he handles it with his usual finesse, and the final mano a mano fight is dynamite.
