“Il mago delle parole” is an extremely curious book, full of anecdotes about the Italian language and literature and their history and etymology. The language used is simple, and the narration is smooth and entertaining. Quite enjoyable is the “palestra d'arte grammatica” at the end of the volume. It is a perfect read for lovers of the Italian language.
