I've read this book three times, it is one of my favorites. i really enjoy the plot, it is different than most books this level. Louis Sachar is very creative and i have a lot of respect for him for thinking of a story line such as this one with this much details.
i enjoyed this book and like john green very much as an author, but i think this book has became so popular that the critics have began to tear it apart. i thought it was a clever plot and i liked the meaning behind it all. its a very unexpected, sad ending.
This is a heart warming story about a girl named Heidi. She wants to learn more about her life, but ant find out through her mom who is severely autistic, she only knows 23 words. Heidi goes on the voyage of a lifetime to get some answers, she goes through many ups and downs but in the end it was worth it. this book taught me not to give up on something you care deeply about
This book was a little more morbid than the typical High School English class read, yet it was one of the best. the book portrays society as almost "fake" in the sense that after a few short days young, polite boys turned back to their primal instincts and became complete savages. the book is definitely a good read, there are many thought provoking ideas and it really opens your eyes to new views and ideas about society and human nature.
This book deserves all the awards its won. its a captivating and motivating story of a young, bored boy seeking a "great perhaps". there are multiple twists and turns that leave the plot fresh and intriguing. you really feel attached to the characters while reading, and *spoiler alert!* although it ends on a somewhat sad note, the overall meaning of the book is truly motivating and deep. it is definitely worth the read.
