I thought the ghost aspect was interesting but overall I was not impressed. I deff predicted the ending and for a character who was supposed to be genre savvy the protag made soooo many bad choices.

Also, this was an issue with the audiobook not the text itself; why on earth did they not hire a British voice actress? They had an American narrating the book but its set in Ireland and using British terminology and slang. The whole thing was very odd.

also, SPOILERS for the end....
You cant just straight up murder someone in cold blood and face no consequences. The villain was down for the count and the protag murdered them. Double tap does not apply for normal humans.
Its fine. Interesting twist on historical fiction and time travel.
Weird and scary and thought provoking. For the record I will NOT be getting in the transporter.
I related heavily to Constance since at the time of reading I am also 35, 6 feet tall, single, and anti automobile.
Classic Bruce Coville. Heartfelt weirdness and fun with a bit of horror.
Not fight the book bad, but not good either. It had some interesting ideas but overall I was just not into it.
Absolutely awful. Made no sense, so many plot holes, evil grandpa?? This sequel shouldnt exist.
Weird and fun read. A little much at times but engaging and diverse story.
Ok I admit it, I watched the movie first. But the book was better. Loved it.
I read this whole thing in a day and quite enjoyed it! I got a bit annoyed with the protagonist at times for being obtuse but I overall I liked her as a character. I felt the unreliable narrator aspect of the story was a bit under-explored which was disappointing.
As far as teens snowed in murder mysteries go this one was pretty good. A bit far fetched but whatever. Did have some questionable use of slang; describing a cat as yeeting its body against something instead of saying they rubbed against it is not correct.
Fantasy-land Taskmaster hell. I read retellings of The 12 Dancing Princesses whenever I can but this one was a chore to get through. The book was trying to do way too much at once and had a ton of logical inconsistencies imo. instead of having the 12 princesses be sisters they are a bunch of fairytale princesses (mostly disney ones) forced together under contrived circumstances. The princesses lack of common sense and self preservation in regards to the competition is infuriating. WHY DIDNT THEY WEAR PANTS? WHY DIDNT THEY PACK SUPPLIES? They learn on day one that they can get grievously hurt but take almost no precautions against further injury. My annoyance with the characters lack of common sense paired with their one dimensional personalities made reading a slog.

There were ok moments but overall I was not impressed. The romance was boring and uninspired and the politics nonsensical. The ending was predictable and rushed and there were far too many characters to keep track of.
Not particularly interesting to me but i love Poirot so whatever.
This book is weird and inexplicable and I love it. The dark humor and the improvable plot contain very real feelings and emotions. The last ten pages always make me sob.
I read this when i was in my self sustainability study mode and i remember none of it. However I did write the title down along with some notes and found it in an old notebook a decade later.
I liked aspects of this but the plot was completely off the rails. What on earth.
The scavenger hunt plot was a bit messy but overall pretty good.
Interesting and well developed characters and good writing but terrible plot?? Not awful to read but tbh I kinda felt like I was reading fanfic. I could tell the author had talent and a strong vision for their characters but the story just wasnt working.
I appreciate that this book explicitly calls out bigots and fascists who like to hold up medieval Europe as some white supremacist ideal. Overall an engaging and interesting history.
