This is easily one of my favorite books. Shadow is an excellent character. You can't help but identify with him and feel for everything that happens to him in the book. The whole concept of the gods having been brought to America and then forgotten is amazing. It just makes one feel like they really do understand why America feels different from the rest off the world.
