WoW !! What a book that is. Most definitely a 6 star. Should be your next book to read.
And to think it is Douglas Joness 1st novel…
What a great book. It has all the ingredients of a great fast pacing action book. Douglas Jones is defining it as a kind of science fiction book but unfortunately or fortunately, most of it is already here or in the next decade. If you like a fast pacing action book that will keep you reading until you finished it, that is a book for you.
Glad there is a sequel book to that great reading. Although the book is designated as a biological science fiction, it all makes sense. We already have the “Alexa” gadget working in our world, and the giant advances in genetic sure make sense of what is being played out in this story.

Great book for pedophiles.
I am sure that every pedophile reading it will be aroused. But it’s not only a sick book. It is boring as well. I read 25% of it and gave up. Nothing is happening. It is a story about an abused girl age 8, that “falls in love” with an ugly stupid mechanic riding a motorbike. The girl’s mother is a drunk, and the father a pimp. That’s it.
Just a day to day routine being described through the eyes of all the figures taking place in the abused girl's life
for the life of me, I can't understand the high marks the book was getting. Probably was read by lots of perverts

WoW !!
If you like this book and this genre you must… I repeat you must read “Replay “by Ken Grimwood.
Dark Matter was published just few months ago with almost 44,000 readers that took the time to rate it, and it has more than 4 stars. I knew right away that it must be something special. Not to mention all those who read it without bothering to rate it.
In order to really enjoy it you must release your imagination. Do not try to activate your logical or science mind. Think about going back in time ( even 1000 years) trying to explain the natives about cell phones flying airplanes, and movies. No one will believe a word you tell them.
Usually I hate books written in present tense, but in this one I hardly noticed it. My only remark gas to do with the 3rd quarter of the book which was too repetitive (for my taste).
If I need to describe what kind of book it is I would say, it is a philosophical science fiction thriller mixed with romance.
