The book was enjoyable from beginning to end and had me gripped every second of the way there. Although it was quite easy to know that something was up with Amy, learning things about Nick had me on the edge of my seat, I had never seen some of the smaller twists coming, mainly Andie's existence and Nick's desire to stray away from his fathers image. Gone Girl is the kind of book that has to be masterfully written to not end up boring or throwing twists at you that make no sense, but the twists that Flynn presents make sense if you go back and read prior chapters, clues for you to find along the way that seemed nothing as much as a small inconspicuous thing.
