The following three books are good but this was the last of the great Dune books. You wish you were one of Twins but the story really revolves around how the son deals with his father's changing attitude towards the Fremen's new way of life.
The book starts out slow and you are disappointed how quickly everything Paul worked for is falling apart. However, when the intrigue and political back-stabbing catches up with the action, the story suddenly becomes one of the best books I have ever read.
It is a difficult read for those who do not understand political and religious intrigue. However, Hebert is the best when combining it with the fantasy of a futuristic society. It does not matter what House you are talking about, you love all the characters.
It is worth the read as it continues to develop the struggle between the D'Haran people and the New Order. However, like the last two books it is becoming increasingly talkative. There are points where people are uncharacteristically long-winded.
