I loved the non-linear format and how no two stories have the same tone or style. The chapter told entirely in PowerPoint slides is a standout stylistically; my favorite characters are Bennie Salazar and his group of high-school friends/bandmates, and their intersections with Lou, the archetypal sleazy record producer rendered less archetypal when he's viewed at the end of his life. There are thematic threads linking each story, words and phrases that weave throughout, and the way it all comes full circle is lovely. Highly recommended.
