I liked this book, however I found it too short and I felt like there was a lot left unanswered. I would've liked to have known more of what became of the characters. Also, I found the narration confusing because the narrator constantly referred to "us" and "we" but never as "I". Maybe that was the point? Who knows. Decent read though.
This was a decent book. It was told in a somewhat strange way. I wish that it had been longer and the characters had been developed more.
This book was very strange and creepy. It was a quick read, as I think it was only about 160 something pages. It told the story of a woman, Amanda, who is slowly posessed by a demon. It's an odd, odd story.
Well written characters and good plot. I really liked this book and I recommend it. Brundage writes the characters in such a way that you both get angry at them, but also can relate to why they are the way there are. There were a few loose ends that weren't tied up (I would've liked to know more about Lydia's history), but overall, very good book.
I loved this book! Love, love, love. I really liked it a lot though, seriously. It's well written, the characters are well developed and it's a good story. The story of Tom "Chi-Mo" Henderson and his journey. That sounds way too cheesy. Just read this book. It's good!!!
I have to start off by saying that after reading Black Creek Crossing, I was a tad leary of reading another Saul book. However, this easily exceeding my expectations by a long shot. This was back to good old John Saul.
The book tells the story of a girl who disapears right before her family is planning to move from the suburbs of Long Island to New York City. I don't want to say much more about the plot, as I don't want to give anything away.
I did figure out the ending pretty early on, but it was okay, because there was more depth than I originally thought. A nice quick read for the horror/crime fan.

I loved this book. I started this book after previously starting three or four books that were just awful and that I didn't finish. This one was great. I thought it was very well written. The plot revolves around the murder of an abortion doctor, Diana Duprey, but it is about more than that. Hyde is great at writing about the interworkings of a familial relationship. I loved this whole book from start to finish.
This book had so much promise! I read the summary and I thought, "I can't wait to read this!" What a disapointment. The lead character is SO ANNOYING. I could not root for her at all. She was constantly pining after an old flame and she constantly complained about how much she hated her current life in the suburbs. She even went on to wish she could just leave her kids.
The plot made no sense and the ending came out of nowhere. This book was crap.

So obviously, I was on a Rochelle Krich kick. I wanted to read the first Molly Blume novel. I found it the worst of the three I've read (this one, Blues in the Night and Now You See Me). I found it a little boring and was waiting for it to be over.
Molly Blume investigates the murder of her best friend (that occured about 10 years or so ago). She learns she didn't know her friend as well as she thought. I don't know, it was boring.

After reading Now You See Me, I wanted to read more Rochelle Krich (and more Molly Blume--the first time I've read 'character novels' in which there is reoccuring characters, other than the Stephen King universe, which Does Not Count).
Molly Blume is reading the local paper and an interesting story catches her eye: a woman is the victim of a hit and run and is found in her nightgown in the middle of the night in the street. She begins to investigate. The plot came together nicely and I felt the characters were well developed. I enjoyed this novel a lot.

I loved this book. This was easily the best and most wonderful book I've read so far this year.
It is the story of Anna and the narrator (who's name we are never told). They fall in love and I don't want to say much more. It is not a love story, I want to make that clear. It is just a wonderful novel and I recommend you go read it right now.

I found the concept of this book very interesting, which is why I wanted to read it. The book is told entirely through faxes, emails, newspaper articles, transcriptions of tape recordings, etc. However despite an interesting concept, the book fell flat.
It was WAY too predictable. I read the whole thing, but it was a bore, as I'd figured it out in the first 1/4 of the book. I also found it annoying that the main character preferred faxes to emails. I'm not really sure why, even if it was 1993. That annoyed me a lot.

I liked this book a lot. I had no clue that the lead character was an Orthodox Jew and it was quite interesting to read about the customs and practices in the context of a mystery.
A man's niece disapears and the man calls upon crime writer Molly Blume for help. The book was well written and the characters were well developed. I didn't even guess the ending halfway through, which is always a plus!

Oh my goodness, this book was so cheesy! It started out good enough, but just got so cheesy and unbelievable. That being said, I still liked it.
It's your basic story of teenager outsiders who get picked on and then take revenge. The book really started to fall apart and make absolutely no sense at the end. Having read many other books by John Saul, I was looking forward to this one. However, it turned out to be a huge disapointment.
1 star for the cheese factor.

I liked this book a lot. It told the story of a reluctant psychic who is reluctantly drawn into a murder mystery. Although I did find it a little predictable (I guessed the ending halfway through the book), I still enjoyed it and felt the characters were well developed and the book was well written.
I felt the concept of this book was good. I was intrigued by the use of night terrors, a phenomenon in which a person wakes up suddenly. However, I don't think the author really did much research on the topic, which left me disapointed.
The plot was a tad predictable, but it was still a good book and I enjoyed it.

I felt this book was very poorly written. I had trouble even finishing it. The characters were not likeable at all. The story is told from the point of view of a woman whose identity got stolen and the woman who stole the identity. I didn't find myself rooting for either, as I thought they were both annoying.
I found this book interesting. It is told through the point-of-view of a professor and one of his students, a woman named Iris who spent the semester living in her car. Iris documents her experience in a diary, which is eventually found by the professor.
It was an interesting story and I felt it was well written.

A novel that takes place on the coast of Maine. The setting/point of view alternates between present day and a story that takes place in the past. There is a slight ghost story going on, as well as a love story. I gave it three stars because I felt that there were a lot of unanswered questions and I felt a lot of things weren't resolved.
