I never miss a S.J. Bolton book. Suspense, murder, ghosts,and unusual story line keeps one guessing until the last page. In this book a new vicar takes over a small church in the Moors. He meets a family who has recently built a new house by the church with three small children. Tom the oldest begins to have nightmares, issues with safety of his younger brother and sister. There have been mysterious deaths in the village over the years and the vicar begins to tie the points together with the help of a local therapist.
Drama and suspense keeps you turning the pages. Not a book for that lonely stormy night, more bright sunshine and beach required.

Twelve steps to create a better you and a better world. Karen Armstrong takes the Golden Rule and follows it through major religions to find a better way to live. She suggests that all follow the same Golden Rule and that by doing so make a better world. Karen Armstrong has written many books on religion and has received the TED prize.

Worth the time to read, time to think and time to put into action.

I have just found C.J. Box and like his writing very much.
In Cold Wind his much married mother-in-law is charged with the murder of her husband. A rich landowner, Earl is found tied to one of his wind farm turbines. How he got there, why and who is to blame takes the reader on a merry chase through politics of wind, family makeup, and small town gossip. A great read with a satisfying ending. I plan to read the earlier books.

This is an interesting and useful book. Every wonder why eggs are important at Easter. Pictures of and descriptions of signs and symbols around the world. Ancient and modern symbols that are still used. Great resource book.

This story holds your attention. Shana Forrester is imprisoned in a mental health hospital against her will. Her Mother, Lily, a Ventura judge is unable to reach her. The story takes you along winding themes and stories. The writing contains many familiar lines and the sex is added for the effect and plays little into the story. While I read with interest and enjoyed, I would not place on my must read again list.
