Not light bedtime reading, but a lot of interesting comment on the worldwide financial markets and the South African labour market of today, as written more than 50 years ago...
A selection of articles that show how well hidden some of the modern fallacies are ... and we've grown up to believe them - so much that we don't even question them!
Sometimes it feels like there is too much of it, and not everything is relevant, but in the end it all comes together. Impressively large scale, and interesting stories, with a lot of technical detail for those of us that are so inclined ...
Lawrence Block is still a great writer, even under another name. Interesting book...
Interesting, but a lot of questions.... More than answers. And it feels like the 5 parts should have been one...
Nie sexy nie, maar matig interressant. Medisyne en mediese goed is nie my belangstellingsveld nie, maar dis darem redelik leesbaar geskryf...
Funny how these super, amazing, unbelievable agents always manage to be so stupid and survive! Still, I enjoyed it...
all out action, with a bit of thought ... ultimately forgettable...
Started a bit slow, but ended a bit more interesting. Still, it felt a bit heavy handed and forced...
Gives a lot of insight on the story behind the news. Makes you worry more about the fools in charge, but says that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. But there's probably a bit of rusted track between here and there...
Enjoying it. Nicely integrated with the first set of books... Looking forward to the conclusion.

Hacks for Minecrafters: Master Builder: The Unofficial Guide to Tips and Tricks That Other Guides Won't Teach You (Hacks for Minecrafters: Unofficial Minecrafter's Guides) by Megan Miller
Starts with some nice ideas, but then becomes recipes to build specific items.
Ek het die boek baie geniet, interressant, goed geskryf, en het goed bymekaar gekom op die einde. Lekker...
Overall good with some interesting ideas, but I think I saw the book hyped too much before I read it. I expected more ... feels kinda rushed and as if more could have been made of the good ideas. Maybe the second and third book will enrich the story a bit...
Great story, but the"torture porn" is unsettling
Would have scored the book higher, if it wasn't for the graphical detail. If you don't mind that, you will enjoy the book. Great story, pacing etc, I'm just a bit squeamish...

Good read while it lasted, but just too short ... no time for suspense or development.
Enjoyed it a lot, tight, realistic, fast with a bit of a message as well...
Excellent book, provides a lot of insight into various interesting problems. Must go back for a second reading....
Interesting book, could have been longer
The story was interesting and kept moving. I enjoyed it a lot. I think there was too much story for the length of the book, so at times it felt rushed...

A complex beast!
At times hard to follow, because the subject is complex. Nevertheless, the book creates insights and is very insightful. I learned a lot!

Still filled with basic truths
Should be required reading for every politician, with a test at the end! Shows all the fallacies that government believes in, and practices on a daily basis. Following this book will change countries for the better.

the information is interesting, but the writing isn't great. the book feels rushed, and cold have used a bit of planning in the presentation of the story, as it jumps around quite lot. However, I think it is better that the information is "out there".
Think like a rocket scientist simple strategies you can use to make giant leaps in work and life by Ozan Varol
This book get's you thinking - and if you think right, you think like a rocket scientist. If you aren't used to these ideas, it will feel like a revelation! Even if a lot of the ideas are familiar, this is a great overview of the thinking process, with great examples from the space industry. There's a lot to take in and remember, and I quoted way too many places in the book.... An excellent read, and I'll work through the workbook as well....
Feels more and more like Zapiro has an agenda to push...
