Excellent book. Gordon is at the top of her game. The shifting point of view showed how completely she'd captured each character. She took risks with portraying exactly the way each character spoke, thought and acted and the risks paid off tremendously (unlike the risks the characters themselves took over the course of the novel). This one deserved the National Book Award.
