I had high hopes for this book but it fell pretty far short for me. The message is good, the writing isn't neccessarily spectacular. I prefer my deities remain the way I've always seen them I guess.
I'm reading this book on the recommendation of my sil. I was surprised at her insistance that I would like this author, she's not usually so adament about things like this! I'm really enjoying it. I do like page turners and this fits the bill. There are twists that you don't see coming . Keeps you in suspense. I'm not quite finished, I had to put it down to get some work done, believe me I didn't want to! It's been awhile since I've been this engaged by a book.
I really didn't think I would be into historical fiction/romance but it did envolve time travel so I thought what the heck. Boy am I glad I what the hecked. This is one of my favorite reads of all time. Yes it's long but you won't want it to end, it's that good. READ IT!!!
Wow.....what a disfunctional upbrining!!! I was mad for most of this one though I did enjoy the quirkyness that pops up throughout. Makes it look like I grew up a Barbie dream house and my parents were The Waltons.
I'm glad this series is over. I can't take another teenager getting everything she wants and then some and why was it so easy for her.....NO FAIR!! And Renessme?? OMG.......what a horrible name, even for a half vamp!!! I'm glad it's over, I can't take anymore!!!
This book defines the relationships between everyone. It keeps your blood pumping. I like the triangle and the way things played out. A lot of action in this one. Another winner but of course you already knew that.
This one made me want to slap the crap out of Bella and it also made me love Jacob Black. I had to keep reminding myself that it was written for tweens and I'm an old hag that's been around the block a time or two. How does Ms Meyer do it? An excellent read!
Congratulations to Ms Meyer for being able to cross the age barrier so easily. I didn't want to like this book but I do. It took me 1/2 the book to get "sucked" in but it happened, right there in that clearing when they were playing baseball. I finished this book that night and sought out the others. It really was a phenomenon to have been so entertained when I really didn't want to be!
I"m sad to say I didn't finish this one. I was disappointed from the beginning.

Definately not as good as the first book. This one was very repititous and actually boring in spots. I'm glad I finished it, it was iffy!!

My favorite Koontz book to date, and I've read plenty of them!! I think Odd is as unique a character as I've ever read. The book is quirky and funny and scary and sad. I love that he makes his living flippin jacks and can cruise with Elvis in his bosses borrowed car.....I'm completely jealous!!! Great read!
I liked this second book in the series better than the first one. There is more supernatural stuff going on, another romance brewing between Layla who doesn't know she has a gift and Fox, so far my favorite of the 3 men. I read it in a day and was absolutely entertained. Maybe I'll become a fan of NR after all?
While I'm a fan of sci fi, I have never been a reader of the romance genre so had not read Nora Roberts before this. J D Robb, yes but not Nora Roberts. I enjoyed this book a lot. I'll be moving on with this trilogy and possibly onto more of her trilogies!
It was interesting but it got boring in spots which caused me to put it down. I finally got hooked but not until 2/3 of the way through the book. Maybe I need to give it a second chance? When it finally did come together for me it was a great read and I'm glad I took the time to learn more about Elphaba's life and times.
