Tough Irish detective determined to earn her mettle on the force. Written in first person, complete with Irish slang etc, so it takes a little gitting used to at first. Suspenseful twist at the end-- couldn't put it down!
Exotic Hawaii in the 1920's, a brilliant and charming detective, and a classic puzzle--it has it all. Charlie Chan's Hawaiian mysteries are among my all time favorites.
Fun, though the characters have a tendency toward excessive rumination.
