I can honestly say that twilight has been one of the best books I’ve ever read in my entire life. When my friend first told me about this vampire saga, I never would have thought that it was going to be as good as it was. The more and more I read, the more I couldn’t put the book down. It was as if my eyes were glued to the pages.
Twilight is about a 17 year old girl who falls madly in love with a blood-thirsty vampire when she moves to Forks, Washington with her father, Charlie after her mother and her new boyfriend have to travel the world because of his new professional baseball career. For both Bella and Edward it was pretty much love at first sight. Edward was drawn to Bella but in a different way than normal. He craved her more than he’d ever craved anybody or anything in his entire life. Even though all the signs were there, Bella would have never known that Edward was a vampire until one day she decided to go to the beach with some friends from school. While she was there she saw her old childhood friend, Jacob Black. They took a walk along the beach and he began to tell her about the old legend his father told him about. Legend says that they used to often see vampires around there. They weren’t your ordinary vampires either. At that time they fed only off of animal blood. He went into detail on how they could always tell that they were vampires because they acted very different than your average humans. Their skin cold as ice, kept to themselves most of show more the time except when around other vampires, and had bright golden eyes that turned jet black once they became angry or hungry.
It went on to tell you how Bella soon discovered that Edward was a vampire. That was one of my favorite parts of the book because I couldn’t believe that even though she knew he could potentially kill her she was still drawn to him. This made me wonder what I would do if I was in her position. Would I tell somebody or keep it to myself? It was extremely interesting. I enjoyed this book mostly because it was very different from what I am used to reading. It constantly had me on my toes wondering what was going to happen next. I don’t normally like to read but this book had me screaming for more. I definitely would recommend everybody to go and read this book. It surely the best book I’ve ever read in my life.
