Giving 4 stars because it's the best one of hers I have read yet (although it's still really a 3 star book)
beautifully written like all of ng's work, but not my favorite of hers
Not as good as the other Galbraith novels. Dragged a bit.
Read for book club. This was the one where the children caught on fire. Too weird for me, and in that style of impossible magical things happening in an otherwise realistic setting.

NK Jemisin is clearly a talented author. Another great book by her, but only if you are in the mood for her somewhat violent dystopian (yet hopeful?) worlds.

Takes place in Orisha where magic has been brutally banned. Zelie goes on a quest to return magic to the people. Not bad, but not my favorite.
Didn't love it, but it was fine. This is the one with the woman on the small cruise ship, with the mystery woman in Cabin 10.
It's Dan Brown. Fun and fast paced. Don't need to have read (or remembered!) the others to enjoy.
Another one of those quirky-people books, like A Man Called Ove, or Eleanor Oliphant. Fun quick read.
Really enjoyed the premise and the writing but the ending was so disappinting; wrapped everything up like a fantasy (or more acccurately, like a romance novel - no depth to the conclusion at all).

This was the one about the guy who went blind; murder mystery at the New Horizons Center. Liked the characters; would be worth reading more in the series.
Compelling writing and storytelling but ultimately decided I did not like the book because it was too much like violence porn.
