written in an engaging and conversational style I found infinitely more readable than comparable books on the subject. A bit thin on sources and somewhat basic in scope, but i think thats a strength in this particular case. I read it cover-to-cover over the course of an afternoon, and its certainly the only book about soil out of dozens ive opened i can say i read every word of.
