LT does not save multiple Date Finished dates when entering them via the Edit screen.

Fixed.

The whole date thing is very complex. It's hard to know how to sort overlapping dates, for example. But at least it should edit now.

Tim: It seems as if you can enter two dates in two different fields, but there's still something something wonky going on. When I reverse sort by Date Read in my catalog (newest on top), what should be my most recent book read (The Age of Innocence) is sorting to the bottom of the list of books with dates. It has the correct date listed in the Date Read column (6/15/2008), but is at the wrong end of the list.

I tried switching the dates around in the fields in the Edit screen, but now now matter what I do The Age of Innocence shows Date Read as 6/15/08 but sorts to the bottom of the list.

Is the date format correct? Or is it "seeing" the one date I entered (4/1/1986) and displaying the other (6/15/2008)?

Yes, I think that's right. Hmmm. Okay, I'll jump in. I'm going to use your catalog to test this, so don't change those books, k?

No changes until I hear otherwise. Thanks, Tim.

Bump.

Tim - How's it going with this? I notice The Age of Innocence is still sorting to the bottom of the Date Read column. I'm not making any changes to my library in the meantime . . . .

Thanks!

Bump again.

Tim - I'd really like to get back to using my catalog. What's the status of this? Thanks.

Tim: I deleted the second date on The Age of Innocence so that my sorting will work correctly.

Essentially, the problem is that when there are multiple entries for Date Read, the book will sort in the catalog according to the earliest date entered, regardless of which field it's in. However, the catalog will show the most recent Date Read. If this can't be replicated in another catalog, let me know and I'll re-enter the two dates so you can test in mine.

In the meantime, multiple entries for Date Read do not work correctly.
