LT'er plan to attend a tea hosted by
Persepherone Books in New York if you go why not order an LT Badge from the tools page first?

Here's the info about the upcoming NYC Event from Persephone's Books: (To register, you have to call 020 7242 9292)

We are very pleased to confirm that there will be a Persephone Tea in New York on Saturday 14th April from 4-5.30. It will be held (by kind permission of the Rev Douglas Ousley) at the Assembly Hall, the Church of the Incarnation, 209 Madison Avenue at 35th Street, near the New York Public Library. (Unfortunately the Hall has no disabled access). Tea and cake will be served and I will give a short talk about Persephone Books and about Frances Hodgson Burnett’s The Shuttle, which we publish on April 17th; we are bringing this out to coincide with an exhibition at the American Museum in Bath called ‘Dollar Princesses’, which is about American heiresses marrying English aristocrats. The Preface to The Shuttle is by Anne Sebba, who is publishing a new biography of Jennie Churchill in the autumn; she will be in New York for the Tea.

We plan to ship over some of our books and these will be for sale for the usual British price of £10, or three for £27 (or the dollar equivalent rounded up to the next convenient sum). If we do not have the book you want we will send it from London the following week, charging £2.25 airmail postage instead of £4.50 (ie roughly $4.50 instead of $9).

The cost of the tea is $20, preferably payable in advance by credit card but otherwise on the door; numbers are limited to eighty.

(This is also posted in the VMC group. Pre-registration can also be done via email with a credit card. They suggested you send 2 emails thereby splitting your CC information.)
