Readercon 18, July 6-9th, Burlington Marriott, Burlington, Massachusetts (outside of Boston). Guests of Honor Karen Joy Fowler and Lucius Shepard. Memorial Guest of Honor Angela Carter. Annual literary convention for readers of all manner of SF, fantasy, horrror and everything inbetween. Over 120 professionals in the field featured (a list will be posted on the website in the near future of "pros" who have confirmed they are coming this year). For more information see the Readercon Conversations Group or the convention's website www.readercon.org Attendance at convention usually around 5-600.
Huge ballroom bookshop featuring 50 plus tables of BOOKS from 20 plus dealers. Programming features panel discussions, readings, autographings...etc. Programming will feature a LT item on Saturday. We may also schedule a meetup slightly off convention, so others in the area who don't want to do the convention, can meet. Maybe lunch in the hotel?
I count about 10 I know who are coming. Tim and Abby have been invited for the panel discussion/LT presentation (whatever it turns out to be).

My schedule is a little unknown because we're moving to Californina this summer but don't have an actual date. If things aren't too hectic, I will definetely attend! I have buttons!

I'm going to try to make it. Holly Black has it listed on her dates of appearances on her website and I would love to meet her.
Of course, if I go I'll be wearing my very fashionable LibraryThing tee shirt :-)

$40 is for the entire weekend. They do have one day passes also at the door. We have to pay for the convention somehow:-)

The LT panel at the convention was a great success, imo. The panelists were: ABlachly, AsYouKnow_Bob, lquilter, matociquola, and myself. It was great fun and I know we created a lot of interest in LT. Just the LT buttons and T-shirts were enough to intrigue people...
See you all next year when the guests of honor will be Jonathan Lethem and James Patrick Kelly.
